The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) is organizing the Seventh Session of the Emirates Photography Competition 2012. EPC aims to develop photography in the United Arab Emirates by attracting as many photographers as possible through holding exhibitions, specialized workshops, seminars and interactive meetings. EPC accepts the submission of works with different artistic styles as long as the submissions respect the values of photographic art and the FIAP rules.

The EPC has a main theme in every annual session, this year's theme focuses on Murad Al-Daghistani’s work, it is a tribute to his research and study of photography. Daghistani is a leading photographer in the contemporary Arab photography and his works capture the people he encounters throughout his daily life and the everyday life of his subjects.

Several awards will be given including Noor Ali Rashed's award which is given to the best Emirati photographer of 2012, another award will be given for the best collection of photographs from participants. A "Fine Arts in Photography" award will be presented, for the first time, for the best works that present modern innovative ideas.

The best news is that the EPC seventh edition is open to all photographers around the world!
