Shakespeare 4 Kidz (S4K) is bringing one of Shakespeare's most popular stories to Doha, Qatar. Romeo and Juliet, the musical show is scheduled to debut on February 15th at Katara, the Cultural Village.
The UK based S4K presents a unique, easy to understand musical adaptation of classical Shakespeare plays in order for children to understand and appreciate Shakespeare's works.
Formed 15 years ago, S4K consists of 20 professional actors who will perform the musical adaption of Romeo and Juliet in Doha. The group has toured the globe, introducing millions of young people to the world of Shakespeare and have recently performed in Bahrain and Dubai.
S4K has performed musical adaptations of many of Shakespeare's works including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, Twelfth Night and The Tempest.
The shows will be open to schools on 15th February at 8:45am and 11:30am; and 16th February at 10:00am. The public can attend the show on 16th February at 6:00 pm at the Drama Theatre, Katara.
