The cinema has always been a place where one could forget the days work and enjoy what could be an Oscar winning film. The film industry has always kept us on the edge of our seats waiting for 'part 2' or the remake of a favorite film of ours. From time to time, we are always introduced to fantastic films that leave us amazed and filled with astonishment.

Here is our list of the top 10 most anticipated movies coming to a theater near you!

Prisoners

A man on a mission to protect his family. Seems cliché, doesn't it? Probably is, but who can say no to a film starring Hugh Jackman alongside Jake Gyllenhaal? Coming soon!

Saving Mr. Banks

This list has been Tom Hanks'. In this film, he stars with Emma Thompson and is set in times of fancy Cadillac's and cigarettes. Author  P.L. Travers visits filmmaker Walt Disney in creating a classic Disney film, Marry Poppins. A heart-warming film also starring Colin Farrel and Paul Giamatti.

Gravity

If a movie is rated 8.2 on a certain movie database website, doesn't that make it Oscar worthy? The trailer may be a little too dramatic and the story may be boring (because it's all in space) but when you have 'classy man' George Clooney and the woman of all films Sandra Bullock side-to-side, expect something good.

Captain Phillips

Tom Hanks always performs well and gives his all in movies and his secret? War movies. Because whenever Hanks puts on that uniform, he delivers a brilliant performance and this film is based on a true story back in 2009.

Bad Grandpa

A heart-warming adventure film about a grandfather who sets out on a journey with his 8-year-old grandson starring Johnny Knoxville and produced by MTV Studios. Think about it.

Last Vegas

This may seem like Hangover all over again but with senior citizens. I'm talking about Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas, and Kevin Klyne. Who knows what kind of bachelor party they can throw?

Thor: The Dark World

"The answers you seek shall be yours, once I claim what is mine." Those are the words of the mighty Thor in the first installment and ever since that, we couldn't wait for part 2. This time he is reunited with Jane (Natalie Portman) with a couple of interesting twists.

The Wolf of Wall Street

Mark my words: Another film starring Leonardo Di Caprio which means another film where the word Oscar doesn't even come close. A film about crime and fraud, this true story film is directed by the Academy-Award winning Martin Scorsese.

The Hunger Games 2

The Hunger Games is back and this time 'Katniss Everdeen' and co. are wanted after an uprising in Panem. Great effects, a soundtrack to download, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Runner Runner

Justin Timberlake never takes a break, does he? After a successful album, he's back on the silver screen starring alongside (can't believe I'm going to say it) 'Batman', Ben Affleck. If you're a college student and are low on cash, do not try this.
