SolidariTea, is a UAE based forum that brings women of the community together to create change. It is a multicultural organization that aims to allow women to socialize and at the same time provide them with a platform to promote different charities. Their recent event ‘Big Pink Tea Party’ was in line with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They collaborated with Brest Friends, a local social and support group for those suffering from Breast Cancer.
The event was held at The Pavilion and women of all ages came out in large numbers to support the cause. Guest speakers included a man whose mother and sisters had been affected by the disease and a young cancer survivor, they both spoke of their personal struggle and their triumph over it. Funds were also raised from selling t-shirts, bracelets and candles through the pop-up Aura-B store. Chez Toi, the mobile grooming company was also there for pampering the ladies. The English Tea Party provided cutlery and together with the flowers, food and décor it was the perfect tea party for a great cause.
