Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea, Jordan was voted as one of the top resorts in the Middle East for the second year by readers of popular international magazine Condé Nast Traveler US. The five-star resort nabbed a well-earned third place among some of the most prominent hotels and resorts in the region.
In this year's edition of the awards, more than 28,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers took part in the selection of the best hotels. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea received a rating of 85.8 out of 100.
Condé Nast Traveler US asked its readers to assess hotels and resorts based on a variety of criteria including location, design, dining experience, rooms, and services, among other things.
The resort is located in a traditional Jordanian village setting surrounded by 20 acres of lush gardens. The resort overlooks the northern shores of the Dead Sea and is home to the 6,000 sqm award-winning Zara Spa. The above mentioned magazine's readers described the resort as “a fantasy land.”
In addition to the resort's rating, Condé Nast Traveler also featured Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea in its ‘Best in the World’ 2012 edition, a popular edition which showcases readers’ favorite airlines, hotels, cities, cruise and islands from all over the globe.
On this occasion, Jordan Peter Hoesli, General Manager & Regional Manager of the resort said, “This achievement is a wonderful tribute to the hard work of our people at the hotel. The fact that this is the second year we have enjoyed this honor demonstrates the consistent high level of service we offer guests. What is significant is that the scores are allocated independently by magazine readers. At the end of the day it is the views of guests that regularly enjoy our hotel that resonate the most.”
