Falafel waffles, Arabic ice cream flavors, Arabian sushi, savory booza, and a hummus fountain are some of the innovative dishes to expect at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC’s Ramadan Majlis.
In partnership with the Dubai International Financial Centre, the Ritz-Carlton will be hosting Iftar and Suhoor that combines modern elements with traditional Arabic and Middle Eastern foods.

Their Samaya ballroom will be transformed into a space that can be divided for private events and includes the Iftar buffet. This year they are also offering private outdoor Iftar tents that can be booked by groups of up to 20 people.

The tents have night views of the DIFC skyline or the hotel’s entranceway and also include a private butler as well as exclusive use of the tent for Suhoor, where there will be an a la carte menu.

The buffet will comprise of traditional Ramadan dishes that include salads, hot and cold mezzeh, seafood, grills, and a dessert buffet that will contain dates, Arabic sweets, and a selection of desserts.

The modern twist on food happens at the live cooking stations where the chefs will showcase their culinary skills. One of the items will be Mezzeh N7, a dish that encompasses traditional cold mezzeh created by combining liquid nitrogen with different textures, accompanied by a falafel waffle and traditional Arabic flavored ice cream.

There will also be an Arabian sushi station that incorporates traditional sushi elements and fish with Middle Eastern flavors such as lamb shawarma, hammour, and shish kebab rolls.

Other items will be the savory booza, offered in tahini, beetroot, mutabal, sweet potato mutabal and hummus flavors, and a hummus fountain which guests can dip their pita bread, falafels and stuffed olives into.
