Founded by Bahraini Wafa Alobaidat in London in 2009, Sketchbook Magazine started as a fashion/art/design print publication full of illustrations and drawings by independent artists worldwide. Today, Sketchbook has relaunched as a digital publication with the same aim, to "showcases established and emerging creative talents in illustration, art, design and culture."

Sketchbook has always been about showing the "raw, un-edited and unconventional aspects of art and design," believing that it is more important (and beautiful) to show the creative process behind a final product or design. In addition to that, the website features creative sketchbook illustrations and graphics, interviews with artists, profiles of upcoming designers, events coverage and more.
