Katara Cultural Village will be celebrating Garangaoh with a number of festivite activities for children and families on Thursday 2nd August at 7:00pm.

Garangaoh is a wonderful cultural activity that children in most Gulf countries take part in. In Kuwait, it is called Gergai'an, and in Bahrain it is Gerga'on.

At Katara, children will be taken on a guided tour of Katara, to twenty buildings and through various alleys, to collect candy and to fill their custom-made Garangaoh bags with as much candy as possible!

At 9:30pm, there will be a screening of Freej in the courtyard behind the Katara Art Center (building 5). Mascots from the movie will be there to entertain the children and distribute gifts.

Don't worry about the heat, as all outdoor activities will be conducted in air-conditioned spaces.

Katara's Garangaoh will take place on Thursday, August 2, 2012. Families are instructed to bring their children to the courtyard next to building 16 at 6:30pm.
