Scale – Issue 27
Published May/June 2017
A note from our Managing Editor, Lucy Moore:
Driven by curiosity, our natural desire to go behind the scenes and discover the person behind a name, and the story behind the person, led us straight to the sofa of Bibi Hayat, Kuwait’s pioneer in event planning. A beautiful insight as to how she has blossomed starts our journey for our May issue before we launch into the galactic mind of Thabet Al-Qaissieh, who opened the first observatory in the Khaleej.
Speaking of reaching for the sky, we also spoke with Kawther Al-Saffar, a rising star in the arts scene of Kuwait. Another local who’s making waves is “Doss,” who’s dancing his way through the GCC.
Across to Saudi, we discovered Diggin’it, whose vision is to support men in taking an interest in their appearance through its locally produced beard oil range. We also took time to visit China and Spain, where we got to meet pandas, and visit the historic palace of Al Hambra.
Closer to home we found a social enterprise helping refugees, one of many articles that I hope will inspire you to be active this summer.
– Distribution will commence from May 19th, 2017.
