An exhibition at the Jameel Arts Centre, ‘Proposals for a Memorial to Partition’ gathers varied works made by artists and writers for an imaginary memorial to the partitions that produced the modern nation-states of South Asia.
Through text, installation, sketches, painting and video works, the group exhibition offers a poetic and speculative look at a moment in history that resists narrow classifications.
