La Vela Candles, designed and created in Dubai, were first created by Lakshmi Sukumaran in 2010. She had moved to Dubai from Melbourne and was looking for luxurious beautiful scents for her home, and wanted them to be environmentally friendly.When Lakshmi didn't find what she wanted in the market, she decided to create her own.
Each candle is hand poured in glass jars and is made using 100% pure, natural Soywax and 100% natural cotton wicks. Unlike conventional candles which may use toxic materials, La Vela Candles use Soywax, which is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. The candles are non-toxic, biodegradable and water soluble.
The beautifully designed candles consist of more than twenty fragrance combinations and have an average burn time of 50-60 hours.
