Samar Nasraldin launched Atūlier from her native home of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in February 2015 and launched her first collection later that year. Now marking her third season, her latest collection spans symmetric layers and tonal fabrics. As a contemporary women’s wear brand, Atūlier's core aesthetic of deconstructed color blocking shines through this collection with strength.
We spoke to Atūlier to find out about the inspiration behind his latest Autumn/Winter collection:
What is the latest collection called?
Movement=Stillness.
How would you describe the collection?
As highly sensitive but with a strong look.
What was the inspiration behind this collection?
The latest collection is inspired by the unity of contradictions.
Which key materials are used in your AW collection?
We used materials that have a raw/rough surface but remain liquid at the same time to go with the unity of contradictions theme, like crepe georgette and cashmere felt.
How have you used embellishments in this collection?
I didn't use any embellishment in this collection, rather I played on proportions.
