Autopoiesis is an interesting project that is inspired by people in the UAE. The experimental and cultural project invites submissions from people either living or visiting the UAE. The submissions should symbolize what they think and feel about the identity and culture of the region.
The project, which is led by Btihaj Ajana and supported by the Cultural Institute at King’s College London, wants to provide a platform that has no constraints and promotes self-expression. The term Autopoiesis, which is the act of self-creation and self-production, is a metaphor of what this project is all about.
You don’t have to be an artist to participate and the contribution can be in many forms including poetry, photography, short stories, visual and audio materials and other suitable formats.
