Dubai-based fashion label GlamOnYou launched its first children’s collection last month. The collection, titled ‘Little Miss’, offers young girls stylish clothing inspired by the original women's line, but that is also playful and practical for the little ones.
The collection includes a chic selection of everyday basics as well as outfits for special occasions. The clothing is made using soft and comfortable materials that make it easy for children to play and move around, yet still maintain a fashionable edge. Mothers shopping for their little girls can expect to find lovely outfits for birthdays, parties and weddings, or simply for a day out.
Nadine Arton, designer and founder of GlamOnYou, was inspired by her own daughter to come up with the line. “My daughter loves dressing up and always wants to wear my dresses, which gave me the idea of creating a collection just for girls. Living in the Middle East there are so many occasions for kids to dress up but it is hard to find something that is chic but still playful and age appropriate. With ‘Little Miss’ by GlamOnYou I want girls to feel as fabulous as their mothers,” she says.
“The collection is a reflection of our brand and a great way to experience it. It has a mix of the playful and practical. There are pieces that are classic and timeless that are inspired by the signature GlamOnYou pieces like our kaftans and evening dresses,” she adds.
Founded in Dubai in 2008 by Nadine Arton, GlamOnYou is a fashion label with a sophisicated feminine essence that is very much in tune to the Middle Eastern woman. Designed with the modern Dubai woman in mind, the pieces are usually emphasized with beautiful colors, soft flowing fabrics, and simple yet defining cuts.
The 'Little Miss' collection will give young girls the same distinct style that the women's collection offers its fans, but in a form catered to these little princesses.
