The Losail International Circuit will be home to the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East where Kuwait's own Zaid Ashkanani will be fighting for the trophy along with 15 other drivers from around the world. Qatar will be hosting rounds 9 & 10 on the 8th and 9th of March and young Zaid will be hoping for great success.
The 18-year-old sensation is currently in fifth with 119 points and will be eager to for a greater form than his previous race in Saudi Arabia, saying, "I was disappointed with my form in Saudi, but I will take it on the chin as a learning curve. My focus is now on the next rounds in Qatar and I hope I can produce the sort of performances I have shown before the winter break. I believe I can make an impact at Losail and once again regain my position at the top of the Silver Michelin trophy standings."
