Founded by two British expatriates based in Kuwait, Blake James Designs is the result of excessive traveling and cultural diffusion. According to the duo,"we've lived in all sorts of weird and wonderful places, and wherever we've gone, we've found a wealth of local cuture and heritage being reflected in beautifully locally handmade items; Kuwait has plenty of culture and heritage and some long-held traditions (such as Bedouin weaving) which are dying out. With that in mind we decided to find Blake James Designs; beautiful handmade fabric homewares and accesories that weave our own English Heritage with that of Middle Eastern Designs."
Blake James Designs includes everything from hand, tray and tea towels, to handmade purses and pencil cases, festive buntings and even canvas bags to pop in your toileteries, shoes and more.
