The Hummingbird Bakery, infamous for its American sweet goods, has announced that it will be expanding into the Middle East region. Signing a franchise partnership with Omani conglomerate Daud Arabian, you can expect to see more than 20 new Hummingbird Bakery branches open over the next 10 years. New branches are to appear in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon and Egypt.

Tarek Malouf, founder of The Hummingbird Bakery, comments: “We are absolutely thrilled to now be in the final stages of becoming an international brand. Since opening our first bakery on Portobello Road in London back in 2004, it has always been our mission to bring American baking to London. This is something we have achieved. We now look forward to the exciting challenge of bringing The Hummingbird Bakery’s brand of high quality American baking to the world.”

Lovers of The Hummingbird Bakery will be excited to know that the first location is due to open in Dubai, 25 September at Dubai Mall.
