For its 15th anniversary, the Baguette bag, created by Fendi's Creative Director of Accessories and Menswear Silvia Venturini Fendi, goes back through time. The Baguette bag was a fashionable hit right from the start. Requiring a long production time, the Fendi Baguette is exclusively handmade and is oh-so-very-precious and valuable with the fashion crowd.

Since its inception, the Baguette has ensured great demand worldwide from Fendi fans and fashionistas in general, and garnered an even longer waiting list due to its limited production capacity. Most popular models sometimes don’t even pass through the window displays since they are reserved well ahead of time by the most demanding clients who intercept them before their arrival.

A select number of shops across the world are celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Baguette bag with a series of Pop Up Stores kicking off at  Colette in Paris, Maxfield in Los Angeles, and Dover Street Market in London and Tokyo. Intended to be more along the lines of temporary installations rather than boutiques, like playful pop-up books, they will delve the pages of the Baguette book and transform its contents into a tangible reality for a certain amount of time. These pop-up stores are a  playful backdrop, through which the Baguette’s experimental personality comes to life featuring an underlying pop color theme which keeps the desire for the cult bag alive.

At Colette in Paris for example, the windows of the shop have been dressed to present  iconic linen panels which in turn showcase some of the most beautiful Baguettes created since 1997. On the first floor a selection of Baguette bags will be available as well as the BAGUETTE book edited by Rizzoli. In addition to all that, Karl Lagerfeld has created some unique drawings, which will be reproduced on limited edition t-shirts and silk foulards to celebrate this anniversary. Many celebrities and fashion personalities attended the Colette Paris launch of the Fendi Baguette celebration which included Karl Lagerfeld, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Jessica Stam, and Olivia Palermo.

In the other locations, the Pop Ups will feature a different display: tables like waterfalls of acrylic color and panels printed with the pages from the book, niches echoing the printed panels, and on the table surfaces, one can find the one-of-a-kind Baguettes and copies of the book as well.
This truly is a fashionable celebration of an iconic bag. We have a feeling it'll all come back with a bang, and the Fendi Baguette will be the next big coveted thing in fashionable circles.
What are you waiting for? Dig out those Fendi Baguettes and wear yours with pride.
