Whether you want to work out, pamper yourself at a classy spa, acquire a new look at a beauty boutique, or simply hang out with your friends over a cup of coffee by the beach, Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) is the perfect destination for all of the above mentioned options.
The gym, called Fitness 180°, has some of the latest fitness equipment, from treadmills to the Stairmaster. If, like many people, you're not in the mood to work out alone, you can join some aerobics classes. The classes are plenty. If you’re after a highly energetic exercise class, you'll find more than one option, such as kickboxing, circuit training, spinning or aqua aerobics. If you're into more relaxing forms of exercise, you can join a Yoga and Pilates class. The variety of aerobics classes offered at Fitness 180° appeals to every taste.
There are even aerobics classes for the young ones. If they’re not into aerobics, they can play and dine at Skate Cafe. If your children are too young for that, you can leave them in the care of friendly teachers at the Basateen Preschool Centre where you can enjoy your workout without having to worry about the kids.
The Dalouk Spa is also an amazing place to get pampered and to unwind at SLC. A wide variety of heavenly facials, relaxing massages and cleansing scrubs are available at Dalouk. Up to date treatments are available alongside traditional ones like the Moroccan Bath, known locally as Hamaam Maghrebi. You can get a free consultation from an experienced staff to find out exactly what you need to be more radiant and regenerated.
While you're there, you can pop in to Orchid Beauty Boutique for face, hair and nail treatments. Other beauty services include waxing and bleaching, as well as facials, hair color and makeup sessions. You can also get a manicure and pedicure while you're at it. Fortunately for us members, Orchid functions by appointments only, so au revoir to waiting for endless hours at salons where it's 'first come, first serve'.
Aside from beauty, hair and makeup, SLC has an Art Centre that offers art classes for both its older and younger members.
Did we mention that the SLC has a beautiful beach where you can relax or tan by the sparkly water? After a dip in the water, you can have a great meal at Lafeef, the club's restaurant overlooking the beach. The club is also a lovely place to host a gathering for friends by booking a few tables at Lafeef. If you need a bigger venue, the Kunooz Ballroom is a great place to host a large, ladies-only party.
