Anyone who has a love for fashion understands the value of collecting vintage pieces. Over the last few years the demand for vintage items has changed significantly-from once being perceived as old and unwanted, vintage is now considered high-end and valuable. Celebrities are walking down red carpet events in vintage dresses and fashionistas are digging through their grandmother’s closets for classic pieces.
In London there is Portebello Market, New York has boutiques in Soha and now we have Bambah in Dubai, a stand-alone vintage store in the heart of Jumeirah. The interior of the boutique has been carefully planned and is a reflection of the vintage theme. It has a very charming and quaint vibe with furniture, photographs and accessories from the past.
There are racks filled with clothing dating back as far as the 1930’s. The eclectic collection ranges from retro high street designs to pieces from trendsetting, iconic designers like Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior. Each item has a history to it and has been tastefully picked from different parts of the world and is in immaculate condition.
A section of the room has been dedicated to the ‘Little Black Dress’, a must-have piece for every closet. Shoes line the floor, hats, handbags and other accessories are scattered in an organized fashion throughout the room.
Take a few hours out to spend browsing through the treasures and you will definitely not be leaving empty handed.
