A note from our Managing Editor, Lucy Moore:

As we ascend into the year, the days are still cool yet activities in the Khaleej are hot on trend with achievement after achievement. Right on our doorstep is the place to be seen in Kuwait; South Mubarkiya, yet many don’t know the fascinating story of how three publishing entrepreneurs have broken the real estate market in Kuwait’s most historical area. We met with the Thouq Three, Ahmad Al-Ghanim, Bader Al-Hejailan, and Hamad Nasser Al-Sabah, and got an insight into the past, present, and future of SOMU.

We also got an incredible insight into human flight with Dubai-based Jetman Fred and discovered how Beacon of Hope is lighting the lives of thousands of children in need. In Doha, we explored the new faces of fashion, and how one man is changing the way Qataris view food forever.

In such a fast-paced world, sometimes we forget to appreciate the natural beauty around us, yet Mohsen Jaffar does just that, as a leading photographer of migratory birds we have the pleasure of working with him to release a breathtaking photo essay. We also had the joy of jetting off for a short winter break where we fell in love at the Shangri-La Paris, before arriving back home for a relaxing spa treatment at Talise, Jumeirah Mesillah Hotel.
