This November 8 – 16, the annual Ajyal Film Festival (the “Festival”) returns for its eleventh edition—building on the Doha Film Institute’s (the “Institute”) history of community-based film programming, the success of the Festival’s previous editions, as well as a year-round screening series. Ajyal invests in the future of Qatar by empowering the nation’s youth, giving them the skills and knowledge to express themselves through cinema. Feature-length and short films from around the world will inspire cultural dialogue, bridge gaps, and bring generations together (‘Ajyal’ is Arabic for ‘generations’) through activities and events designed to encourage creative interaction among the community.
