Runner Sarah Attar is one of the four females whom the Saudi Olympic Committee agreed on competing in Rio 2016. Sarah was also one of the first female Saudis to compete in the 2012 London summer Olympics for track and field. After her inspirational run, she received not only a standing ovation but also became a sponsored athlete training with women in Mammoth Lakes, California.

She will be returning to the games this year alongside another runner, Kariman Abuljadayel for the 100-meter race. Kariman represented Saudi Arabia at the IAAF World Indoor Championships earlier this year, and will represent Saudi again with Sarah in Rio 2016.
