Whether you're streaming, downloading a torrent, or buying a set on DVD, watching TV shows is always the perfect way to entertain yourself. From thrillers to police investigations and from love affairs to students who sing, you always have a choice to soothe your TV viewing taste.
We rounded up some of the best shows on TV right now, some new and some returning. Get ready for some TV shows that will not only get you hooked, but will make you eagerly anticipate the next episode and that dreadful 5 month break that we all hate (when shows go on hiatus to start filming the next season).
Here are the 10 TV shows you should watch this season:
1. Game of Thrones
Season 3 of this fantastic series was recently released and the anticipation was so high. And I can't blame them! If you're into mythology, action, swords, and sorcerers, then Game of Thrones is one to watch.
Love affairs, scandals, disgrace, and a brilliant PR firm. This TV show not only gets interesting each episode, but it gets better by the minute. Kerry Washington stars as Olivia Pope, a brilliant PR specialist who takes on scandalous cases that she works on covering up. Oh, and she's also having an affair with the president. Interesting enough?
3. The Following
We all know the term "the more the merrier" but with The Following, it doesn't seem a good idea. Serial killers, bad guys, and Kevin Bacon in his most amazing piece of acting since Apollo 13 and The River Wild.
4. Girl Meets World
Yes, I seriously am adding this to the list! Remember Boy Meets World and how everyone watched that show hoping they'd find their own 'Cory' or 'Topanga'? Well, they're all back and this time the couple is all grown up, have a child and… I'm not giving you any more secrts. I'm just as excited as you are!
The grown-up version of High-School Musical. The now famous Glee Club is on its fourth season and with appearances by Kate Hudson and Nicki Minaj, the musical-comedy-drama TV show isn't slowing down any moment.
6. The Carrie Diaries
Ladies, this is one's for you. You probably watched the Sex and the City series twice, been to both movies, and still haven't had enough of Carrie Bradshaw. The Carrie Diaries is about the early life of Carrie Bradshaw before all that – when she was still a high school student. This is one to watch with your husband, children or even pet dog. Or just you, your girlfriends and some of your favorite snacks.
7. Parks & Recreation
Amy Poehler has got to be one of the funniest actors in Hollywood and its because of her comedic personality that Parks and Recreation was nominated for two Golden Globes. All she wants to do is to make a little town in Indiana a better place. The questions is, how?
8. Breaking Bad
A high-school teacher/chemistry genius has terminal cancer and does all he can do to protect and provide for his family… by selling crystal meth. Bryan Cranston (Malcom in the Middle) stars in this epic series that will surely keep you glued to the screen.
Musicals have recently bombarded the silver screen, with films like Les Misérables, and all-new episodes of Glee. But now we have Smash, a fantastic musical drama about the magical world of Broadway.
10. The Walking Dead
Remember those trashy zombie movies back in the day? The Walking Dead is nothing like them. Andrew Lincoln stars as Rick Grimes, a police officer leading the survivors of a world invaded by zombies. Definitely a thriller to watch.
