Renowned American handbag designer Judith Leiber has teamed up with Saudi Arabian label Threads by Razan Alazzouni to produce an exclusive collection of clothing and bags to benefit children's charities in the region. Both collections will be on shown on October 6th and 7th, 2012 at Gallery Gallery IIXX in Salhiya, Kuwait.
Judith Leiber's bags have been known to turn heads with their sparkling crystals and whimsical designs. With her Children’s Art Bag collection, each item is a uniquely personalized with a replica of a child’s artwork, set in Austrian crystals. Customers can shop from the available limited edition designs, or they can submit an artwork and have it embedded into a bespoke minaudière, creating an item that is unique to them, and that feels extra special.
Also available will be the Crystal Monogram minaudières, which are personalized and custom made for each client. Choose from multiple color options and monograms with up to three initials in either block or script font. The bags are available in two styles, the classic east/west rectangle and the large airstream.
Judith Leiber will also be debuting their Fall 2012 collection, a gorgeous mix of cute little animals, which still hasn't hit stores in the Middle East.
Threads by Razan Alazzouni, a limited edition line of women's ready to wear clothing, created a special collection for this event, which includes beautiful feminine beaded and sequined dresses and skirts. The Saudi label has been spotted on celebrities like Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and Emma Roberts, among others.
15% of Judith Leiber sales and 15% of Razan Alazzouni sales will go to the Pumps 4 Kids foundation, a campaign that raises awareness about children in Kuwait who are diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
Hosted by Noaf Hussein of Pretty Little Things, the set up will be a collaborative effort with The House of Etiquette. As media sponsors, Khaleejesque will also be there to report the event live through photos via our many social media outlets, as well as our website. The event will also mark the debut of Judith Leiber's Fall 2012 collection in the Middle East.
