The French Institute in Kuwait, L’Institut français du Koweit is delighted to announce two fascinating cultural events taking place in Kuwait. The first event is the 1st French Short Film Festival. This event is organized in Kuwait in partnership with Cinescape and Festival International du court-métrage de Clermont-Ferrand which will take place on the 9th and 10th of April at Laila Cinema. During the two nights from 7-10, short movies will be screened from around the world, they were all selected and awarded by the international short film festival of Clermont-Ferrand in France. The viewer will be taken on an exceptional journey into young film creation, from documentaries to hilarious comedies and genre films, the viewer is guaranteed to enjoy the show!
The second event is titled Musinema Cello Quartet – Cine concert for 4 cellos. Created in 2007, this event is dedicated to the practice of "Cine Concert" which included talented musicians playing live music during the projection of old mute films. MUSINEMA Quartet is the only cello-ensemble with this type of creative performance. It is organized in partnership with Dar Al Athar Al Islamiyyah in the frame of DAI Music circle. This event will take place on the 11th of April at Maidan Cultural Centre, 7PM.
