Wow, what an adventure it's been so far; 2 years have flown by since starting Khaleejesque. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect this online magazine to pick up like it has in the past 2 years.
We started off as a duo lugging our laptops around working on articles and expanded to a whole team with interns, staff writers and an office; as well as a brand new media company.
It's been a fun ride so far, Khaleejesque has successfully gained huge recognition locally and regionally with a vast loyal readership, a very firm and interactive Twitter following of more than 3,000 followers, and international appeal as it was featured on various international blogs.
Apart from giving the website a much needed face-lift to parallel its success, we're also planning on expanding Khaleejesque further; with a Creative House in the works, a planned series of printed collectible issues, and more exciting developments to come.
We're very proud of what Khaleejesque has achieved. It has shed light on various initiatives locally and regionally, spotlighted interesting local and regional personalities and rising creatives, and connected the six Gulf States in a way no website has been able to do so before.
As Gulf Residents we're still waiting on the planned much needed railway system that should have been into place between the states years ago, at least we don't have to worry about a website to bridge us together, for Khaleejesque has already managed to do so. Khaleejesque has been able to showcase the overseen talents and initiatives that lay low in the Gulf, and which have not been promoted before; making it the official Gulf online magazine, and the only one you should be reading…
At this opportunity, we'd like to thank everyone that has helped in making Khaleejesque what it is right now; from our amazing staff of freelance writers, to our loyal readers and everyone in between.
Thank you all, and here's wishing to many more years of success; Khaleejesque style.
