What?
This program is a joint venture between VCUarts Qatar Community and Continuing Education Program, and British Council Qatar.
The program supports youth from the region by dissemination of knowledge in museum management through online educational workshops. It was created based on the most crucial gaps in museum skills as identified by The Gulf’s Museum Skills Gap Analysis report (published by British Council). The 2022 pilot program, focuses on three main skills: Curatorial skills, Audience Development, and, Education and outreach. Three introduction workshops will be presented by industry professionals online.
Who?
Any individual interested in a career in museums can apply, however, the applicant has to be based in an Arab country, regardless of their citizenship. Applicants can pick one or more workshops. There will be certificates of attendance at the end of each workshop.
