Fahad Al-Hunaif, an artist of his own, is a 20 year old Kuwaiti accounting student in the city of Miami. Having an obvious penchant for the arts and especially photography since a young age, it was natural for Fahad to gravitate towards minoring in the visual arts. Impressed by his wide range of work and passion, Khaleejesque asked Fahad what inspires him and the ideas behind his fresh perspective which are evident in every shot.
"I truly feel I'm different than any other photographer/artist; you could call me an aspiring photographer. I tend to see things differently than other people would see them; I think it's the eyes that are different." says Fahad. Before photography, Fahad enjoyed putting stuff together such as collages for art pieces, magazines, clothes, cans and even old pictures; that is until he fell in love with his essential tool, the trusty Canon, and from there on in their relationship began to grow and develop.
"I'm one of those people who get inspired extremely quickly and I know for a fact that I can show people things they never realized or saw through my photos. I also express my feelings through photography which is why I love what I do so much."
It's inspiration which makes Fahad the photographer he is today. It might be the main component of why he is different than other artists. His unconventional shots all tell a story and bring out the character in everyday objects thereby making you think twice about otherwise normal situations.
You'll most likely find Fahad Al-Hunaif snapping away with his camera, since that's where he finds his "comfort zone." He proclaims himself a beginner and is eagerly learning and experiencing the wonders that the world of photography bring. Fahad hopes to exhibit his work someday in the near future.
