Sleek, cultured, and contemporary, Alef/20 is the capsule collection from Jewelry Designer Nadine Kanso and Qatar based Fashion Stylist Anum Bashir. Both women are strong and independent, characteristics they wanted to project through their designs along with their mutual love of art and style. As to be expected from two women renowned for their class and passion, the pieces are as high in quality as they are in beauty.
Embellished with diamonds and sapphires, the cuffs, earrings, pendants, and rings are the sparkling result of a collaboration between these two young women. Featuring 8 unique designs in 18-carat gold inspired by the letter A in Arabic, each design is available in a limited number of 20 pieces.
Designer Nadine Kanso is more popularly known for her accessories brand Bil Arabi Jewelry and Anum Bashir is famed for her online style persona Desert Mannequin. They joined forces to create this fine jewelry collection that will be available in selected stores across the Middle East.
As a designer and photographer, Kanso regularly looks to the Arabic alphabet for inspiration to create striking designs. When introduced to Bashir, who is famed internationally for her work with Chanel, Fendi, and Isabel Marant, it seemed only natural for the two to create their own collaboration with breathtaking results.
Desert Mannequin x Bil Arabi will be launching their capsule collection over Art Dubai in March 2015. The collection will be available at Harvey Nichols Dubai, S*uce Rocks Dubai, Per Lei Couture Doha, and Trunk Show Bahrain with exclusive online stockist Luisa Via Roma.
