The Wind Rises is an animated movie by Studio Ghibli. It’s a brilliantly made historical biography depicting the life of Jiro Horikoshi, an engineer who designed Japanese fighter planes during the Second World War.
Studio Ghibli is an animation studio in Tokyo, Japan which was established in 1985 and is illustriously known for its clever concepts. The very first movie made by them, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, which was based on a manga of the same name written by Hayao Miyazaki who is also the director, was the catalyst of the company’s success. Some of their most famous works are My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Ponyo.
The Wind Rises is will be released on the 19th of June in cinemas all across Kuwait.
