Rice Creamery, dedicated to the quintessential Arabic dessert, rice pudding, recently opened in Dubai’s newest outdoor shopping plaza, Citywalk. A hearty homemade treat that is being served for generations, on every special occasion-birthdays, weddings and dinners, Rice Creamery uses the same basic rice and milk formula but then adds a whole range of flavors to it!
With over 25 options, the menu offers diverse flavors including orange blossom, peanut butter and kunafa as well as sweeter options such as white chocolate, red velvet and vanilla amongst many others. There are also a range of decadent toppings to add on including crushed oreo cookies, cornflakes (a firm favorite), almonds and toffee syrup.
The co-founder of Rice Creamery, Lana Nassar told Khaleejesque that "looking at the diverse demographic reality that exists in Dubai today, we wanted to come up with a dessert that would resonate well with most cultures and that would evoke a sense of emotion and nostalgia within them and that's precisely how we came up with a rice pudding concept."
Nassar believes "that people in Dubai have reached the cupcake and cookie threshold, they were ready for something new and innovative."
Prepared daily, with no artificial chemicals or preservatives and using only the finest and most natural ingredients, Rice Creamery is tasty and . The decor is rustic and simple and has that distinct homely and cozy vibe making it the ideal place for a family outing or for a catchup with friends.
