Pachachic Tea Party

Stepping over the threshold into Pachachic’s Pop-up Tea Party one could easily be forgiven for thinking they had entered Bahrain’s very own Alice in Wonderland.  The garden of 338 Restaurant in Adliya was transformed into a scene reminiscent of afternoon tea in the English countryside; floral crockery was adorned with sweet treats transporting guests to an idyllic afternoon of relaxation.

The event was an introduction to Pachachic, a new concept by young Bahraini entrepreneurs Nouf and Fajer Al Pachachi, ahead of the store's main opening later this year. After traveling around the world and having had the privilege to experience a variety of cultural styles, one particular European interior, ‘Shabby Chic’, struck them for its popularity across the West and its unique look of being fresh yet homey. Once back in Bahrain the sisters developed their vision to bring a wide selection of furniture and accessories to the local market at affordable prices and outstanding quality.

Pachachic Tea PartyThe Pachachic concept takes me to my home country of England and holidays to France, where rustic signs, antique dressers and floral accessories are found in the homes of locals who have unknowingly created the style over years of picking up bits and pieces from different places. Shabby Chic furniture and accessories effortlessly transform any space into a warm, welcoming room that feels fresh, and Pachachic’s extensive collection of pieces are perfect for anywhere in the home.

A wide selection of baking accessories, cutlery holders and recipe card boxes make brilliant gifts for those who like to spend time baking in the kitchen. Pachachic is also an official retailer of Pip Studios, classical china pieces with a modern flair of bright colors that will add a fashionable statement for those who like to host friends and family.

A collaboration with Weraq has produced an exclusive cushion collection with stunning floral printed fabrics that look beautiful against the white washed wooden seats. Quotes printed on crate wood to hang around the house, old style wall clocks and a selection of decorative handcrafted mirrors can also be found among their homeware range.

Larger pieces of furniture such as sitting room chairs, children’s rocking chairs and dressing tables have been hand selected by Nouf, who truly has an eye for furniture and accessories, to transform a house into a home.

Pachachic will be launching in Bahrain later this year. For more information visit instagram.com/pachachic
