We get some surprise gifts all the time at the office. Some of them are quite nice, others are all right, a few are not worthy of mentioning (but that's another story). This past week, we were sent a really cool bag from Harvey Nichols Kuwait. but this past week we were gifted a really cool one that had the girls in the office taking turns to wear it – and possibly fight over it.
We recieved a canvas "Birkin" bag by Thursday Friday, a cool Los Angeles brand of accessories "with a sense of humor" that are a great daytime accessory for almost everything. The canvas bag is awesome; you can use it as a shopping bag, a school bag for long days at university; throw in books, a laptop, iPad, makeup, groceries, clothes – literally anything.
The bags are made of cotton canvas, fully lined, and include an inner pocket (for small items like keys or phone) as well as long handles for the bags to be worn on the shoulder. The best thing about them though have got to be the images of designer bags like Chanel, Hermes, and Balenciaga, printed on the front and back. The idea is meant to make fun of the current obsession many ladies have with expensive luxury leather bags. It's both ironic and funny that a multi-thousand dollar bag is printed on an inexpensive canvas tote.
