Al Sadu Society, in collaboration with the Qurain Festival, hosted an evening that revolved around “Traditional Buildings” in Kuwait. The talks took place on January 20th, 2013, at Beit Al Sadu and focused on the social history, architecture, design features, and influences of the traditional Kuwaiti house, and discussed the differences between past and present functions of the household.

Through this event, they hope to establish awareness of historic buildings and to encourage society as well as the government to utilize these houses by restoring and reviving them, much like Bayt Al Sadu itself.

The grandsons of Yousef Behbehani, owners of several of Kuwait's historic houses "The Behbehani Villas," were honored along with acclaimed Kuwaiti historian researcher Dr. Farhan Al Farhan. Among the honorees were the event's sponsors, Zain, Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC), Fastelco and Spread the Passion.
