We had our first music night on Wednesday, Aug. 20th, 2016, organized by our new creative partnerships coordinator, Segun Apampa. This was our first foray into the music scene and we decided the theme would be Music and Poetry.
We got in touch with Kuwait Poets Society; a community of poets based in Kuwait. They sent across four of their poets and we sourced two musicians who performed throughout the night.
The event took place at Sadu House. We saw a spark not just in the audience, but in the creative community. There was a hunger in Kuwait both from the performers and audience; we knew there was a market for art and we were keen to support it any way we could.
