Abu Dhabi Film Festival powered by twofour54 announced a collaboration with Martin Scorsese’s The Film Foundation. A part of this collaboration will celebrate two recently restored masterworks in 4K resolution which are The Color of Pomegranates and Manila in the Claws of Light. The screening will take place during the ADFF from October 23 to November 1 2014.

The Film Foundation which was established in 1990 by Martin Scorsese is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving motion pictures. The foundation has preserved 620 films already and believes in the importance of the preservation and restoration of neglected films around the world. In addition to the movies that are going to be shown, two other films which are celebrating their 50th anniversary are also restored and will be shown, which are Walt Disney’s musical Mary Poppins and the acclaimed Rock n' Roll musical A Hard Day’s Night.
