Tender Torch Carnival

Under the beautiful blue skies of Riyadh the first carnival “The Tender Torch” took place on December 6th 2012. The first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this carnival was organized by the Alzheimer's Association to raise awareness to those in need and celebrate International Volunteer Day in their own special way.

Made possible with the help of 300 kindhearted volunteers, "The Tender Torch" carnival not only was a brilliant fundraiser with a great cause, it also embraced volunteerism in all its diversity and was great source of entertainment for people of all ages. The carnival was full of great proceedings which included a purple carpet that local celebrities attended and debuted at, a Taxi Ride-drifting show, Karting, a Kids Zone, an Olympic Village, a stand-up comedy, the presence of the Harley Davidson Team, as well as a traditional tent.

This inspirational and successful carnival raised 500,000 SR for charity, all of which will be used to provide support to Alzheimer patients in the Kingdom; making it not only a sensational event but an  altruistic one indeed!
